Grid Storage Solution (GSS)
The Grid Storage Solution (GSS) is a flexible, fully integrated, grid-interconnect-ready energy storage system that can be rapidly deployed today to enable generators, utilities and grid operators to reduce costs and increase plant efficiency. With High-Rate (HR) and Long-Duration (LD) options that can scale from hundreds of kilowatts to hundreds of megawatts, the GSS can be easily configured to exactly meet power and energy requirements. The modular design of the GSS is highly flexible, easy to site and permit, and can be configured to fit in spaces that cannot accommodate traditional generation assets. It consumes no fuel, no water, and releases no emissions.
GSS Architecture
The GSS offers a flexible, modular architecture that consists of three key components: the Grid Battery System (GBS), AEROS™ Energy Control System and a Power Conversion System, which are fully integrated and grid-ready. The GSS delivers a system-level AC-AC roundtrip efficiency rating of 90 percent*.
