EPA Urban Dynamometer Driving Schedule (UDDS) Test Results Show 150+ MPG in City Driving

To validate the performance of the Hymotion™ L5 modules, we conduct testing at national labs like Argonne National Labs (ANL) and Idaho National Labs (INL). Shown in the plot are urban drive cycles which are repeated and gauge fuel economy. What is important in this chart are not only the fuel economy numbers, which show greater than 150mpg in some cases; but also the difference between gray and light gray lines showing vehicle speed. Based on the performance data shown in this plot, the EPA mileage sticker for this vehicle would state 150 MPG for city driving conditions. Under PHEV operation, the gray portions of the drive cycle show when the engine is on versus the light gray, where the engine is off. You can see the vast difference between the first three cycles and the final two, highlighting the benefit of the L5 Hymotion module.
