Job overview:
Product Engineer for Energy Storage Systems is a critical contributor to the technical series support of current and upcoming projects. The Product Engineer will work in a global cross functional matrix organization consisting of systems, hardware, software, mechanical, validation etc. for energy storage system deployment. This includes coordinating the efforts of team members and third-party contractors or consultants in order to sustain battery products according to plan and expectation of the customer. The Product Engineer will also execute the project’s technical objectives and oversee quality control throughout its life cycle. The focus for this position lies on battery based energy storage system solutions ranging from residential battery systems for PV installations up until multi modular HV container solutions for grid stabilization and industrial applications.
Responsibilities:
As key technical interface between customer and A123 internal multi-functional engineering and quality teams
Responsible for the technical series development & support in all areas throughout the product lifecycle
Coordination and Reporting of occurring issues during the life cycle
Maintain scheduled engineering deliveries, updates and troubleshooting with support of global engineering team
Organization of cross-departmental regular appointments including preparation and followups
Coordination of mitigation and improvement measures with the internal development departments
Support by the new product development with Product Specification, Coordination of the cell/module/pack Development, Evaluation of the life cycle behavior and collaborate to improve products continuously
